Definitely a once in a lifetime experience and opportunity to create two custom pairs of cleats for Todd Frazier during his Olympic run with Team USA in the 2020 Olympics. The pair on the right [flag] were for the qualifier games, as the pair on the left [eagle] were for the 2020 Olympic games held in Tokyo, Japan.
Here are a few custom painted vans done over the years. Various themes and styles.
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to paint a few pairs of cleats for major league baseball star, Todd Frazier. These were done for him during his time with the Texas Rangers and Pittsburg Pirates.
This concept was created based off the tradional "Greetings From..." town/city logos. Created fully in Photoshop, I hand "drew" all the components, including Citi Field and Shea Stadium. The more you look, the more nods to the Mets can be found. One of my favorite random creations.
Linda from "The Evil Dead" - 11x14 watercolor base with watercolor pencil accents on 90 lb cold press paper.
Starting back in the 2014 season, I started hand painting these banners, customized to specific games, to fly at Mets home and away games with the group known as "The 7 Line Army". These have been flown at countless home and away games, playoffs, and even at the 2015 World Series. I lost count somewhere around 35 of these made over the years.
Love a good "technical" drawing. Created this homage to the Ghostbusters using colored pencil with alcohol dye-based marker accents. Created the smoke-styled background with oil pastels and blending colored pencils.
A traditional grayscale portrait of Nelson Mandela. India ink on 110 lb cold press watercolor paper.
Joker Monochromatic [red] acrylic portrait on 16x20 hand stretched canvas.
Six color acrylic pour painting on 16x20 canvas panel.
I left this 24x48 canvas outside for three months. Any leftover paint I had, dirty water from cleaning brushes, cups of coffee, coffee grounds, wood stain anything leftover - I would throw it onto the canvas and left it out in the elements for that period of time, getting natural results.
After the New York Mets World Series run in 2015, I recreated the starting line ups in ink paintings, with watercolor accents. The 1987 trading card inspired frames were digitally created and printed/mounted to complete the project. Full set of cards are 18x24 each.
Jonathan Davis of Korn - ink portrait with a distorted/abstract background. India ink on 16x20 illustration board.
Post Malone portrait - Pen drawing with ink accents on 11x14 90 lb watercolor paper.
A simple but powerful rendition of Shea Stadium - a staple in New York Mets history. Ink on 18x24 140lb cold press watercolor paper.
